Influence of Knitting and Material Parameters on the Quality and Reliability of Knitted Conductor Tracks

Many electronic textile (e-textile) applications require a stretchable basis, best achieved through knitted textiles. Ideally, conductive structures can be directly integrated during the knitting process. This study evaluates influence of several and material parameters on resistance tracks after process durability testing. The speed proves to little influence, while type thread used, as well pattern both impact threads their subsequent reliability considerably. presented research provides novel insights into for yarns possible shows that choosing suitable processing methods improve quality robustness e-textiles.
